Newsletter: Baby Baril arriving October 2022!
That's right! You read that correctly. Adam and I are expecting a little bundle of joy and we couldn't be more excited!
As of now and if all goes as planned, I plan to be on maternity leave starting mid/end of October and returning December 1st. Unfortunately, this does mean there will be some changes to my schedule as I now have to plan on childcare and as my husband's work requires lots of travel. I will be the primary parent for pick up and drop off in regard to childcare. I also find it extremely important to develop a normal daily routine as this will only have a positive impact on my child as they grow. With that being said, I’m looking to drop from 4 clients daily to 3 clients. I will still be working Monday-Thursday. My new hours will be Mon, Tues and Thurs 10am-2pm (first client at 10am and last client at 2pm) and Weds 9am-1pm (first client at 9am and last client at 1pm). I’m hopeful that this will be a happy medium for my early morning and later afternoon clients. I will be implementing this schedule starting in June to give it a test run prior to my maternity leave and as you know I will be starting to physically slow down as I get further along in my pregnancy. It's important to me that I can continue to give the same level of service to you regardless of my stage in pregnancy, but that does mean I need to be extra kind to my body and give it more rest. It will be hard for me as I get further in this pregnancy to be standing non-stop for 8 hours straight. I will be reaching out to clients already booked for June and further on if we need to make changes to your already scheduled appointment times. I will also be talking one on one with each of you as you come in for your next appointment regarding this. I know this will impact some of you and I hope that together we can find a way to make these new hours work and that I can continue to be your massage therapist. In the event that it does not work, then please know I completely understand and there are no hard feelings. Know that I will miss you dearly and that I will be happy to help you find another reliable massage therapist that can take over in your care. I have also opened up my schedule through the end of December. I will be on holiday vacation from Dec 23rd 2022 through Jan 8th 2023. Again my maternity leave will tentatively start mid October and will go through the whole month of November. If you wish to book your monthly sessions through the end of the year, please let me know and I would be happy to get those booked for you. As for Functional Fitness training. If you are already in a program and seeing me currently, I will continue to work with you for as long as I can physically. I’m thinking our programs will have to pause starting in Aug/Sept, but I will be sure to provide you with training to hold you through until Dec. I will not be taking on any new clients at this time for fitness training. I do hope in the future to provide pre-pregnancy, prenatal and postnatal focus fitness training (something I’m looking more at, as it's been a very important part of my life for the past 2 years prepping for a child.) Again, thank you all in advance!! It's a very exciting and unfamiliar time with lots of growth and learning curves along the way. ~Megan Baril, LMT
